AGM Wolf-14 is a high-tech, durable and versatile Night Vision monocular that delivers great performance at a reasonable price. Packed with high-tech features, the Wolf-14 NVM is equally suited for law enforcement and security professionals, as it is for hunting and recreation. The Wolf-14 NVM can be hand-held or mounted on a helmet or headgear. A specialized mount enables use with a rifle and the ability to mount in front of a camcorder or camera makes it ideal for night photography. With a variety of compatible lenses, long-range nighttime viewing is available in seconds. The Wolf-14 NVM features bright light shut-off circuitry and a built-in spot/flood IR illuminator. The Wolf-14 can be equipped with high-performance Gen 2 image intensifier tubes in green or white phosphor.

Compact, lightweight, and highly versatile, the AGM WOLF-14 NW2 1x27mm f/1.2 Gen 2+ Level 2 White Phosphor Night Vision Monocular can be used handheld as a conventional NV monocular for surveillance and navigation. With optional accessories it can be worn on your head or helmet for hands-free use or weapon mounted for use with conventional daytime optics, like reflex sights or scopes, in the dark.

The WOLF-14 is outfitted with a 2nd generation 51-64 lp/mm resolution image intensifier tube and a P-45 white phosphor screen. A huge advancement from the Gen 1, Gen 2 tubes offer longer useful ranges than the earlier tubes, with better resolution, cleaner and brighter images, and lower susceptibility to blooming and distortion. White phosphor screens produce views that appear closer to black & white for better object recognition while providing contrast sensitivity. The tube is designated as Level 2: The user may see some spots on the peripheral of the view, but the center will be clear. It is equipped with manual gain control so you can precisely control the brightness of the image tube to match your preference and as light conditions change. This helps reduce or eliminate night blindness caused by brightness differences perceived between your naked eye and one looking through a night vision monocular on your head or helmet. An integrated IR illuminator is outfitted with a flood lens for a wide throw, and you can choose from either high or low settings.

An integrated accessory rail allows you to quickly and easily install an optional long range IR illuminator to increase the WOLF’s effective distance when ambient light conditions would limit it. Measuring just over 6″ long and weighing 16 ounces, this device is compact, so it’s easy to pack & carry and comfortable when worn on the head or mounted on your rifle. Its aluminum housing is treated with a scratch-resistant and non-reflective anodized finish to withstand field use. Speaking to its versatility, the WOLF-14 can run on a single CR123A lithium battery for a maximum runtime of 40 hours, or you can swap it out for an easy-to-find AA battery.

Performance

  • Multipurpose night vision device—use handheld, worn on a head/helmet for hands-free use, weapon mounted so you can use conventional daytime optics at night, or attach in front of a camcorder/camera to film in darkness
  • Intensifier tube amplifies ambient light to allow a user to see in extremely low light and requires moonlight or bright starlight to function properly
  • Unmagnified 1x power ensures a comfortable 40° field of view to maintain situational awareness and scan terrain for targets
  • 27mm f/1.2 lens system produces a fairly compact and lightweight device
  • Gen 2+ 51-64 lp/mm resolution intensifier tube offers longer useful ranges than Gen 1, with better resolution, cleaner and brighter images, and lower susceptibility to blooming and distortion
  • “Level 2” tube condition indicates that the user may see some spots on the peripheral of the view, but the center will be clear
  • P-45 white phosphor screen produces a more black & white view versus the signature night vision yellow-green for improved object recognition with the same or better contrast sensitivity
  • Multi-coated optics enable maximum IR transmission so as much light gets to the intensifier tube as possible
  • Integrated infrared (IR) illuminator with wide floodlight lens provides additional light for better visibility—Low setting has a range of 10′ (3m), high setting range of 33′ (10m)
  • 10″ minimum focus distance allows user to perform tasks like gear checks and packing/unpacking without giving away their position

Use & Handling

  • Winged eyecup: Adjustable for left or right eye use, the eyecup conforms to the contours of the user’s face to prevent outside light (like from streetlamps or flashlights) from interfering with the user’s ability to see, and prevents light from the display from leaking out and giving away the user’s position
  • Will not shut off automatically when flipped up while being worn on head/helmet—power switch must be set to Off
  • Manual gain control allows the user to adjust image brightness and adapt it to current ambient light conditions while reducing or eliminating night blindness
  • Automatic shut off when disconnected from a head or helmet mount, or when flipped up to the stowed position—user must manually turn unit on when flipped down again
  • Automatic shut-off system will power down the device when it is unused—controls are not touched—for 60 minutes
  • Objective lens and eyepiece focusers ensure crisp and sharp views
  • In-view LED indicators for low battery, IR illuminator on, bright light cutoff
  • -5 to +5 dioptric correction allows easy use for those who require corrective eyewear
  • Automatic bright light shut-off prevents damage to the photocathode tube
